The company was formed in July 2026 as a spin-out of NanoSUR, Inc., and holds rights to apply NanoSUR’s RNA technology to human health. Its work is at the preclinical research stage.

Chemical engineer and biologist. Founder and CEO of NanoSUR, where the structured-RNA chemistry behind DeliveRNA was developed, and earlier founder and Chief Science Officer of APSE, Inc. Previously Associate Science Fellow at Monsanto and a research engineer at Shell Chemical. Named inventor on more than fifty U.S. patents and applications, and first author of a 1989 Nature paper on supported aqueous-phase catalysis. Principal Investigator on two prior NSF SBIR awards. Ph.D., Virginia Tech; M.A. Biology, Washington University in St. Louis.

Respiratory physiologist with two decades in clinical development and commercialization. Chief Clinical Officer at SMSbiotech; previously Chief Technology Officer at respEQ, SVP of Medical and Clinical Affairs at 4DMedical, and Director of Clinical Affairs at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Former adjunct faculty in pulmonary medicine at Johns Hopkins. Board member of the American Thoracic Society and chair of its Drug, Device, Discovery and Development Committee. Member of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine, and the first engineer to receive the NSF Alan T. Waterman Award. Founder of Insert Therapeutics, Calando Pharmaceuticals, which brought the first targeted siRNA nanoparticle into human clinical trials, and Avidity Biosciences.
David L. Lewis, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President and Head of Drug Discovery and Development at Empirico Inc. Previously Chief Scientific Officer at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, where he led the discovery and preclinical program for ARC-520 and co-invented the Dynamic PolyConjugate technology for targeted siRNA delivery, and before that Program Director for RNAi at Mirus Bio. He and his colleagues were among the first to demonstrate siRNA-mediated gene inhibition in multiple tissues of adult mammals.
Trishul Siddharthan, M.D.

Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Clinical and Translational Research in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Board-certified in internal, pulmonary and critical care medicine, and a former Fulbright Scholar and Fogarty Global Health Fellow in East Africa. Author of more than one hundred papers in journals including JAMA and The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, among them work on antifungal therapy in critically ill patients.
